We throw away so much–a friend gave me some potato chip bags that claim to be biodegradeable–they’ve been in my compost pile through two turnings–still look like pototo chip bags!

My mesclun barrels are overflowing—look so pretty I’m hating to cut them–but will dive in with scissors and snip here and there.
I’v heard dropping cut leaves into luke warm water will take out any bitternesss–then rinse in ice water, dry and roll in a towel and place in a zip lock bag in refrig to chill.

Great list and didn’t even mention that dollars spent locally with locally owned businesses are far more likely to stay in the local economy than those spent in a chain grocery store! The benefits are endless.
